Powerlifting contests are always done using the metric size plates, yet most commercial gyms use "pound" plates that are usually low quality, meaning inaccurate weights. When you are training for a contest, you want to know that your training weights are EXACTLY what you want them to be, not plus or minus.... anything!

StrongArm plates are made to IPF specifications for calibrated weight, dimensions and colors. They are not on the IPF approved list (not yet at least), but only because we did not want to pay the enormous fees the IPF wants for this.  They are good for use in any USAPL, USPA or other federations contests that require IPF Spec plates, and home or commercial gyms. You can be assured they are every bit as precise and accurate as the plates you will see on any contest platform. You are just paying considerably less for them!

CALIBRATION TESTING
We've had our plates tested and certified as correct weight, see this page for more information and documentation of the testing. All sets include as many 25 kg's as you select, and a pair each of 20, 15, 10, 5, 2.5 and 1.25 kg plates.

Super excited by these new plates. Arrived carefully packaged (therefore protected from shipping), and quickly. They look great. Weighed a couple and they are on the money.

Fantastic plates

I have used these plates for well over a year. They have held up in every way, through multiple types of uses. With over a year's worth of work on them (that's on/off the bar, 4+ times a week), they still hold tight to the collar and have little to no slipping issues. The wear on them is natural to any plate, and I do not feel that the paint is excessively brittle. With the powerlifting meets I compete in, the color coding is standardized, and is helpful for the psychological "visualization" of performance on the platform. These are great plates, they look nice, and gravity still works on them. For the calibration and price, they would still be my go-to, and I've recommended them to countless friends who are building a home gym.

These plates are actually better than the name brands that are 2-3 times more expensive. Same accuracy as the name brands and more durable. Great product at a great price. Also, great customer service.

Great value

Like others have comments the paint wear /chips after a couple of uses. But it's kilos calibrated plates at a well valued price with included shipping. You can't beat it.
